The “Cooperativa Flora Pompei” was founded in 1978 by the initiative of a little group of flower producers settled in the Napoli area.
The aim of these enterpreneurs was to put together their forces and to commercialize in the best way the flowers and the ornamentals of their geografic area.

From that time Flora Pompei has constantly grown up. Today it counts 400 associated farms – the most of wich localized in Campania – specialized in the production of cut flowers and ornamental plants.

The range of products is very wide: it includes all the species and varieties of cut flowers and ornamental plants both for internal use and gardening.

In the seat of the co-operative society every day take place the market transactions. In this way the customers can choose and buy high quality flowers and ornamentals, always fresh and at the best economic conditions.

Floriculture in campania, the begins

The floriculture in Campania originate from the ancient art of the borbonic gardens.
Just from this very rich tradition was born the indisputable mastery that still today is characteristic of floriculturist settled in the Vesuvius Riviera.

Starting from the first years of the last century and till the end of the second world war the floriculture in Campania was almost exclusively represented from local realities.

Time by time there was a progressive updating of the production and commercial mechanism, that has leaded to the dimensional explosion of this business area occurred at the begin of the sixties years. At the time of the Italian economic boom (the economic and social development has brought a great changing in the life style and an exponential increase of the consumptions).

Today the floriculture, in Campania, is one of the most entrepreneurial reality of the whole agriculture, and represents the most evolved business area both in techniques and in technological improvement.
